Life Along the Lynnhaven

Life Along the Lynnhaven

The Lynnhaven Inlet is a unique waterway bordered by Shore Drive and the Chesapeake Bay to the North, and Broad Bay to the East. Almost every few minutes there is a boat or watercraft of some kind passing by the string of docks and restaurants along the narrow waterways of the inlet. Local hotspots like Bubba's, Chick's Oyster Bar, and Dockside are busy May through September and offer patrons fresh seafood, cold beverages, and a laid back atmosphere.

A number of established neighborhoods can be found along the Lynnhaven River estuary. If you were to head straight into land from the Chesapeake Bay, the first residential community would be Little Neck, a mix of large lots, and quiet streets. Follow the shoreline to the West and you'll end up in the Thalia neighborhood of Virginia Beach, where mid century homes from the 1950's and 60's sit on tree lined corridors.
